Chronographer Phénon

This chronographer is used to record the time of the transit of stars from the micrometer of a meridian circle. It was used at the Gautier Meridian Circle of the Observatory of Athens.
Auguste Fénon (1843-1912), was a famous French clock maker, director (after 1892) of the Besançon School.
