Portable Galvanic Battery for Electrotherapy

It is a medical apparatus used for electrotherapy which was a common treatment for various conditions at the end of the 19th century.
This apparatus comprises a dry cell battery, an on-off switch, a pole changer, a rheostat and an ammeter. The rheostat was used to select and the desired currents whose intensity was then read on the ammeter.
